We have a bat!
That’s not him. However, that looks just like him. He’s zipping around outside, having discovered that thriving ecosystem + brightly lit windows = bug smorgasbord. He’s cheeping and chittering and is the happiest fuzzy creature I may have ever heard. He’s also about three inches long.
Yes, fuzzy bebe, you’re very fierce. :D I love New Hampshire.
Today is very busy! I apologize for my lack of online presence, but we’re prepping for the thunderstorms coming our way. It’s just the tail-end of the hurricanes hitting us - we’re not in any danger - but things still need to be done around the house before the torrential rains arrive. :D
As for the snippet, I really debated what to do here. A paragraph? A chapter? A lot of authors do both. I’ve decided to put in a small snippet and include a link to chapter one. If you want to read more, you can click it. :D

I have my computer back! Huzzah!
I don’t know if it’s working yet! I don’t know if it’s properly fixed! I DO know that it’s still very hot but that the fans aren’t broken, that there is no longer a smell of burning stuff, that the hinges have been fixed, that the whole thing has been cleaned shiny-new, and I’m so happy to have it I could just fall over.
I am still ridiculously behind on LJ. Please don’t expect me to catch up any time soon. >_< I apologize for that. Next post shall, as promised, be a snippet! SQUEEEE!!! *COMPUTER LUUUUV*

Actually, the state, not the city. We be visiting my wonderful grandma.
I still have no computer, sadly, but my beloved Duane is letting me borrow his work laptop so I can keep writing. Mind you, it rarely has internet, but that’s okay. I’ll take anything at this point. XD Just… Must… Keep… Writing!
BTW, as a matter of funny “it figures,” I am not making this post with that laptop. I am makibg it with Duane’s work-gifted Blackberry. Because my phone is dead. EMP powers forever! Imagine what they could do if they successfully harvested my mad electronics-killing abilities!

1. My computer is dying again. @_@ It’s creating new and strange noises, and overheats at the drop of a hat. Which… feels like a mixed metaphor, though technically, it isn’t.
