Ruthanne Reid was born in Pennsylvania, surrounded by Amish farmland, and spent her post-college years studying the feral surfers of Southern California. Currently, she lives in New England, where she is thrilled to have trees again. Her young adult fantasy, Guardian, is currently riding the literary agent merry-go-round with full and partial requests on the table.

Ruthanne has a degree she rarely uses in piano performance, a second (slightly better used) degree in Biblical science, and a very understanding husband who listens to her jabber about dreams she intends to turn into novels. Ruthanne and Duane currently live in New Hampshire, where they share a house with fantasy artist Celine Chapus of Purple Top Hat [dot] com and an assortment of ball-joint dolls.
